What If You’re Told “No”
This
fact is sure. Somewhere in life you will
be told “No”. And just what are you
going to do about that?
You
could shrug your shoulders and say, “Okay”, and wander on down the road. You could do that, I suppose.
But
what if you ignored the “No”.
Steven Spielberg did. His
mediocre grades prevented him from getting accepted to UCLA film school.
He became a famous producer/director anyway.
Barbara Walters was told to "stay out of television"
in 1957 by a prominent producer.
Bob Dylan was booed off the stage at his high school talent
show.
Randy Travis was rejected by every major record label
twice.
If you have a dream, and it burns brightly within, then keep trying. Keep plugging away. Keep writing, or singing, or creating, painting, doing pencil sketches, sewing, baking or whatever your heart is telling you to do.
Not every “NO” means stop trying.
This is what is
on my mind today.
