People at Christmas
We’re going to be brushing up against others this month in our dash to Christmas. And these ‘others’ we will see have their lives too. They have theirangst, their issues, their happy moments and their woes.
It’s a good time to slow down, offer a bit of a wider smile, let your voice and words of ‘good cheer’, season’s greetings’, ‘Merry Christmas’, ‘so good to see you’, ‘thank you for all you do’, and all the other good words and phrases come forth from your lips to their ears.
I never get far from the fact that people, all mankind, simply want to be recognized, validated, respected.
Even at Christmas … especially at Christmas … may we offer the gift that costs us nothing, yet gives long after we have left. May we give words of good hope, good cheer, and that speak of love and good will now and in the year to come.
